(...) I have heard that you found a use for those Timmy figures and they do fit the profile of a girl but I personally do not see what is so irritatiing about Timmy the LEGO figure. (...) I've had good luck removing Timmy freckles and some microphones using a solvent and a toothpick. You have to be slow and patient, and it may not be as efficient as an exacto, but it works. I don't try to remove microphones if they overlap the (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) The answer is both and more. I spoke with one of the LEGO representatives attending Brickfest and the truth is, the LEGO element designers found a way to keep it from being a choking hazard while consequently making it easier to remove helmets (...) I second that. erasers give a far better result and you loose less of the shiny finish. the ink erasers that have rubber instead of lead in a pencil are good cos you can sharpen them to keep the point (not sure if that is what you mean by (...)
