Unfortunately Kyle, two things prevent me from putting up better pics of my
MOCs. First, these models exist only in dat file format, and as you may
have noticed with some of my piece/color combinations, unless the LEGO group
starts making some pieces in different colors, some of them are going to
stay that way. Additionally, some of the models, the F-15 C and F-16's
would require either the chopping of a naboo fighter canopy (which I would
be reluctant to do) or the release of a new canopy part (which seems
unlikely). I believe that Rick Hallman encountered a similar problem on his
announced Eagle project. Speaking of which, I feel that I must apologize to
Mr. Hallman for poaching his project, as I believe that he called it first,
at 22:31 EST no less. Still, near as I can tell, some of these MOCs can be
made (most notably, the F-5, MiG-29 and F-14) but only by somebody with a
larger piece collection than me. I'll try to get the dat files cleaned up
enough so that they'll be ready for prime time.
Secondly, I don't have much experience with POV-ray or other rendering
programs, and for a person who spends too much of his time on the computer,
I'm shockingly computer illiterate (prehaps not illiterate, perhaps dyslexic
is the word). If anyone here is willing to give me some POV ray pointers or
direct me to somewhere where I can get them, I'd be more than willing to put
up higher quality shots.

| (...) Yea, that is a bummer. :-( (...) Well, you can check out some of the tutoorials at ldraw.org ((URL) I bet more than one of them could help you out. Getting a basic render is not very diffiuclt at all, it's just when you try to add extra (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.military)
