Thanks for the comments Mattias. I do indeed have more models, but the
majority of them are either variants of the ones I've posted in brickshelf
(for example the cranked delta winged F-16 E/F or the Japanese Falcon clone
F-2) or different weapon loadouts. I am working on a handful of new models
(the F/A-18 C/D and the Tornado are at the top of my list) but the fact that
I cannot find a good LDRAW/MLCAD part model for the dark red 1x4 wedge
plates featured on the Blockade Runner (set 10019 I believe) is hampering
these efforts somewhat.
Unfortunately, these models exist only in digital format, that is to say no
ABS. My Lego dark ages caused me to lode track of new colors and current
pieces, and my actual collection is too meager to actually consturct some of
these models. Additionally, by using MLCAD, I am able to use pieces in
colors that the LEGO group do not actually provide (as you have pointed out
concerning the MiG-21). Perhaps I can clean up the dat files to the point
where someone with a larger collecion can take a shot at actually building
one of these models. As they are, the files may be a tad bit jumbled to
make for good building.
As you say, I have been working on these for quite some time. My building
cycle usually consists of working out the general design on paper ahead of
time, followed by about a week of thinking about the model before I actually
get down to building it. Although the building process probably takes only
3 or 4 hours, it does take me a whild to get around to it.
You should definately post pics of the Gripen when you're done with it.
I've always admired the asthetically original but highly practical fighters
that the Swedes create, all the more for the fact that they (you?) refuse to
simply buy someone else's fighter and instead come up with something tailor
made for themselves (yourselves?).
Thanks again for your comments.

| Hi again Bryce Thanks for all new pictures coming up in a short time. Your models reveals a genuine interest and a lot of knowledge of modern combat aircraft. Your F-14 Bombcat is so good I can't wait to try copying your creation with my parts. F-14 (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.military)
