(...) Haha! I was going to use the exact same example! But I wasn't sure of some of my facts, since it's been a while since I saw it, so I decided to leave it out all together. Another helicoptor movie; has anybody here ever seen Thunderbirds? The movie really sucked, it was a lame Top Gun rip off, but with Apache's instead of F-14 Tomcats. But the point is, every helicoptor in that movie held their own except when put up (...) (22 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)

I think it can be said that Helos have thier uses. Namely against slower ground targets. One of my more favorite stories from the Gulf was an A-10 flying along and came upon a Hind gunship. (...) Actually I think you're refering to Firebirds with Nicky Cage. Not one of his better movies, really. Or for Tommy Lee Jones for that matter. But if you just want helo action, it had a lot of that at least near the end as I recall. Only rented (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)
