Thanks to all who replied to my questions. I have ordered lots of LEGO to build
with. It will probably be next week before these come in and I can build. In
the meantime, I will study the info presented. I do have a couple of questions.
As almost all of the photos show all sides but the lower front and bottom, I
would like to know what size plates are most AFV's started with? I would think
either 6-stud or 8-stud wide. And what length?
When building a tank or APC, is there room allowed in the chassis for minifigs?

| Don, The wheels or tracks effectively add 2 to 6 studs of width, so starting anything more than 8 wide is going to make for a unrealistically big tank. I'd start with 6 o 8 in width, and maybe two and a half times that in length. I like to make sure (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)

| Don, Take a look at my BS folder to see how I've used different tracks and wheels on different vehicles. (URL) with almost all things LEGO, there is no "one size fits all" solution that works for everything. I've experimented with various track (...) (17 years ago, 22-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military)
