Re: Jaguar Main Battle Tank and variants

Mladen, (...) Thanks, I somehow wondered if you'd get a kick out of this! (...) I suppose another problem might be that since the guns are off-centre, the recoil would jerk the turret to the right or left a bit, which could be uncomfortable for the (...)   Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) I know nothing about aircraft, but I do know this model is fantastic! Lots of excellent building techniques. The cockpit and landing gear catch my eye right away, as to the different layers that make up the wings. Another stunning replica from (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) It looks excellent! I'm a big fan of the windshield, how did you make it? Is it stiff plastic or flexible? (Yes I'm considering making a custom windshield for one of my own mocs) Nice work on the landing gear also. Have you ever tried studs (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

Ralph, Very nicely done (again)! You've used limited but helpful SNOT techniches and come away with a great model. The nose especially is just beautifully done, and I like the missile designs. And you've clearly come up wotha very smooth way to fold (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) Ralph, I grew up very close to Langley AFB, home of Tactical Air Command and the first F-15 squadrons. Your design rekindles some sweet memories of watching eagles take off doing a 90 degree climb with afterburners. Every detail is perfect on (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

(...) Hi Dave, Thanks for the comments. I too was into building model kits, as well as building with LEGO. I'm not much of a painter, so the model kits rarely turned out quite the way I wanted them to, so actually building planes with LEGO was a (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: F-15E Strike Eagle

Hey Ralph, VERY impressive! As a younger man, I was very into plastic model kits of jet fighters, and the F-15 is still one of my faves. I can tell it is one of yours too! The attention to detail throughout is superb, especially on the angle of the (...) (18 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Jaguar Main Battle Tank and variants

(...) Brilliant work as always. I think the turret is one of the finest ones I've seen since Carl Greatrix's work. I'm most impressed by the amount of detail you've conveyed with just a handful of parts. The vision port and remote MG in this (URL) (...) (18 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Jaguar Main Battle Tank and variants

Hi all, Here is the my newest piece of military hardware - or I should say newest family of armored vehicles. There are BS links when public further down - in the meantime here is a deeplink of the Jaguar to get started on: (URL) Jaguar MBT is (...)   Re: RAAF Boomerang - wow! real bricks

(...) Well, Tim, you're cheap, and you're clever, but not that much of both. JOHN (18 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: RAAF Boomerang - wow! real bricks

(...) You sure I didn't just get really, really good at rendering ;) Tim (18 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: RAAF Boomerang - wow! real bricks

(...) Ha, that's funny, and yet so true. And nice (tangible) work, Tim! JOHN (18 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: RAAF Boomerang - wow! real bricks

(...) That's a very smart design. I like the way the cockpit glass is done. Still, if you'd asked me yesterday I would have said it was impossible - but if anyone was going to actually run out of digital bricks and have to resort to plastic ones to (...)   RAAF Boomerang - wow! real bricks

(2 URLs) BS> (URL) Flickr> I couldn't build the CAC Wirraway out of my bricks so I decided to build its smaller and meaner cousin, the CAC Boomerang. It's somewhere between 1:32 and 1:35 scale which is bigger than I usually build but I think getting (...) (18 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

Re: hay guyz i built a tank

(...) Oh, I think you're doing it fine. The flattened flowers take the cake. Nice little diorama! Cheers! ~ Paul. (18 years ago, 17-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: RAAF Wirraway

(...) Hi Klaus, Thanks. I'm not sure if the wings would stay up but triple plate hinges are pretty strong so they might and if not I would just add more. The other weak part could be the stud rotation in the inner wing using technic bricks with (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: RAAF Wirraway

(...) Hi Tim, very nice model indeed! I really like the way you build the canopy. I you build this model for real, would the wings stay up like that or did you build a support underneath? take care Klaus (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Hi Magnus, thanks for the praise :-) This model has no interior, yet there would be enough space to build one in it. Here are a few picture links to the actual aircraft: (URL) was surprised that even here in Germany, not to many visitors at (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)
