USS Enterprise aircraft carrier, version 2.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and I don't have time to type that many, so here yah go. (...) -snip- (...) I surely did! It was awesome seeing this, and your other creations, at the meeting. Very nice, detailed work. I hope to see you again at the next TexLUG meeting. best, TJ Avery <www.texlug.org> (20 years ago, 5-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: RTS LEGITOR a single-turret seagoing monitor (Passaic Class)

(...) Kurt, It seems like just a few weeks ago I was wondering why I couldn't find any good MOCs of Civil War era (and later) ironclads, and voila, you post one. This is great, I'd like to see it in person. Thanks, George (20 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: RTS LEGITOR a single-turret seagoing monitor (Passaic Class)

(...) This is magnificent! You've really captured the monitor look well. I love the turret (and the guns, of course). Really impressed with the tackle for the boats too. Is there a wheel? (I couldn't spot one, but my knowledge of such vessels is (...) (20 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

Amazing work Dan, that camouflage really makes it come alive. I wish I could see it in person. Awesome. -Keith (20 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

(...) Dan! Thanks for the new set of photos. There are so many details to study. I like the 5 inch guns which look very realistic. Your method for the hull sides is excellent. One small detail - what is the marking on the side of one of the (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Lindsay - it's always nice to hear you opinions and thoughts. Being so busy with my work this past year and a hald has left me starved for building / discussion, obsessing over the brick.   Re: U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

(...) Dan- As expected, it's gorgeous. The Ulithi (pacific) 44/45 camoflauge came out really nicely, though some of the details are hard to make out because of the shake in the images. I'm looking forward to seeing more detailed shots taken at your (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Completed USS Missouri sneak peak...

(...) I gave the USS Duluth to my dad... so it's safe from the parts canibals (for now!). The Missouri is actually a slightly larger scale, so it would dwarf it if they were to be displayed side-by-side. A whole screen of Gearing class destroyers (...)   U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

OK, I got up early today and managed to get the photos from last weekend's GMLTC showing in La Crosse posted... including the long awaited (mostly) finished U.S.S. Missouri model. It's nearly 8 feet long, which prompted me to build a custom stand (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military) !!

  Re: German WW2 Transport Truck

(...) Follow-ups to the actual build: (URL) Sdkfz 251 is taking point. Rebuilds should probably sprinkle some dark gray in for more contrast, IE bottom plates and wheels. I also couldn't find any 4x2 wedges in bricks, just plates. (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: U.S.S. Vignette
