G.I. Joe Lego...not just for canuck breakfasts anymore...

Greetings! As announced a couple weeks ago, B.I. Joe now has a new home in it's own digs. Part of the site revamp was to offer a slightly gussied up thumb w/links 'Recruits' gallery for all other revealed or closet Joe builders out there. A couple (...)   Re: New warbird MOC: Dornier Do 335 'Pfeil' (Arrow)

Hi Robert The side profile looks great and pretty accurate. Much better than my attempt (although I do like the rather stunted version I have sitting on the shelf at home). One thing I would change on your model is the cockpit. I would probably (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military)

New warbird MOC: Dornier Do 335 'Pfeil' (Arrow)

Ok, I've build a new MOC on special request from Chris Paton. Maybe it's the first from the Warbird Prototype group but for know I've posted it in my standard WW2 gallery. The MOC features a retractable landing gear (only the front wheel is not (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Major Warbird Update **Updated**

(...) Hi Robert I am definitely interested in seeing your Pfeil. My attempt didn't quite turn out as planned. I am going to have to try a re-build at some point! (URL) (...) A sad tale but I sympathise! A lack of bricks or specific parts is a (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Major Warbird Update **Updated**

Hey, chris, thanks for the feedback on this one. (...) Thanks Chris, the BF109E is by the way not completely finished. I still have to do the underside of the right wing. I was planning to make a retractable landing gear on it but i still have to (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Major Warbird Update **Updated**

Hi Robert I think I like your BF-109E-big and Harrier best. The Harrier looks fantastic in the shot from below. (...) I like trying to build prototype planes, those that existed and some that never made it off the drawing board. You should have a (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Major Warbird Update **Updated**

Ok, I have updated the update with some more planes. go see it!!! I also want to throw in an idea: would the lugnet community (that means you) like to have a voice in what plane I'm building next? (In other words: send in your request of what (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Major Warbird Update

OK, I have neglicted my brickshelf gallery for a while but here is something to make it up: A Complete Update to my minifig-scale warbirds gallery. Almost every model in the WW2 gallery has been modified, a lot of the planes now have: more (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: New vehicles...

(...) I was told that if my Military battle scene was going to be displayed in BrickFest it will most likely be placed, along with other Military stuff in the Space room. Besides, although its mainly military Space IS involved in the Conflict Zone - (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: New vehicles...

(...) SNIP! Lots of writing there. I don't really have a comment on the mocs, they look good, but I am no expert in military designs. Anyway, the reason I am writing is because of the huge amount of newsgroups you posted to. Some of them aren't very (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  New vehicles...

My alternate timeline and near-future military theme called: "Conflict Zone - Global Crisis" is slowly being built and put together. With this many factions, its no wonder why.   Re: SR-71 Blackbird

Ed: The submarine is just about 3 1/2 feet long, 10 inches wide, and 13 inches tall. It is not perfectly to scale compared to the actual Los Angeles class sub, but it is well proportioned for standard minifigures, and especially the vertical launch (...) <snip> (...) areas, But because you got the shape spot on, you have not lost any of the impact and the studs do not detract from the model.   Re: SR-71 Blackbird

(...) David, Great models. I look forward to more of the sub! Your Bricklink folder mentions it is mini-fig scale. What are it's dimensions? Very nice. Ed (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  SR-71 Blackbird

Hi everyone. I am new to the post, but I have been "listening in" for years. I recently completed a SR-71 model, after being inspired partly from Bryce Rollin's great designs, and a few months or so of research. The model can be seen here: (URL) (...)
