(...) What I do is build the general curve around the blocky basis of the hull--you know, a vertically straight horizontal curve. Then I build the curve outward on that. (...) The obvious solution for me is a frame-by-frame construction, with each stud being rendered into a "frame." So I'll be building the flare out SNOTwise below deck level.
