  Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

----- Original Message ----- From: "Maggie Cambron" <mcambron@pacbell.net> (...) I've checked out a couple local Targets and i'm getting the impression that the clearance around here won't be as good as it has been the last two years. :( The reason (...)   Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) Yes, Lindsay (and Larry to an extent) is my Target-clearance nemesis. We have had turf battles in the past. He has an unfair advantage over me though. When he is in town, I think he is on holiday and can hit the stores each morning awaiting (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) Shame on you Richard N. If you had cross-posted to .shopping (which I have now graciously done) you would be more likely to get pointers from the real pro's. Luckily for you I happened to notice this post. Lindsay's right about being there (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) You think it's funny to hear? You should have *seen* it actually happen last year. Eric and I ran into each other at the same Target, same morning, the 75%-off-plus day. Now, there were lots of other folks who'd sniffed it out and were there (...) (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) That was really funny… "and we RUN with shopping carts at the ready" …and along the way you can set-up obstacles and counter-measures to restrain your opponent. I suggest the use of a ‘dead-fall’ trap to incapacitate your rival! ;) But, my (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: How's the submarine?

(...) Yes. You meet me at the door to Target at 8am on the annointed day, and we RUN with shopping carts at the ready to the toy aisles. :) LFB (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Maaa...aaannnnnnn... I have to compete with you AGAIN??? Any way we can set up a system this year? Eric (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: How's the submarine?

(...) Heh. Well, keep us posted. (...) You haven't seen the giant Megabloks cutaway 'boomer? It's $60 on sale at TRU now; 2400+ bricks, mostly light and dark grey; aaaand it has a nuclear missile sub screw about 6 or 8 bricks in diameter at the tail (...)   Re: How's the submarine?

(...) It's coming along... but don't count on it soon... Let's say these things take time. :). Real subs take years to make. :D (...) Megablocks screw?????? (...) WOW!! Email Scott Sanburn or Chris Leach and maybe we can haggle somethin. Rick (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  How's the submarine?

Hey Rick (and anyone else doing the submarine thing), How's the submarine coming along? (Are you going to break down and use the MegaBloks screw?) The initial proofs of principle looked promising, and I'm wondering how it's going. Also: too bad (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)
