Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

Geordan, Thank you! I was hoping people would imagine the moc better if I mixed a heavy dose of military info in with it! The smoke tubes I think I ripped that off from Mladen again :^) I just use all his cool ideas 'cause...well they're darn cool! (...)   Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

JHK! Thank you for your comments, I am pleased that you like both. I couldn't have made this moc if it wasn't for all those binocs I got with my ISD. I saw that you also used the ISD to your advantage! out (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

(...) You can see you put some effort in it! I stumbeled over your creation before I read the anouncement. I have a folder on my machine where I keep a collection of interesting MOC's, your spidernest went in straight away. You ask why? Well: I (...)   MOC: Lynkx Mk III Radio Controlled tank

Hi all! I've finally realized I'll never get around to make all updates needed on my site at once so I hope to spill it out little by little. Here's the first effort: (URL) a little somtehing I made in October 2002. It's a tank that I added ordinary (...)   Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

Tony both of these are really cool. great work! (...) stories are so real and well done as well as are the armor descriptions on the WolfSpyder. The WolfSpyder is an awesome model on it's own too. It looks fantastic. Lots of little details really (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

(...) Not to add fuel to this fire, but the are more than a few suicide-bomber and bombed-out-building photos on Brickshelf, and by coincidence I think all of them are in the context of BrikWars games. Specifically, NELUG's games, so we know that (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

(...) Of course you'll get a good run for your money from me when talking about historical imagery and selective vision; I'm a professional historian, after all. ;) But why sticking the minifigs in tanks--that's an interesting philosophical (...) Hi Harvey, You are the person I was trying to have a discussion with, before I got tangled up in all that morality of war toys stuff. (...) Okay, no problem.   Re: MOC: German WWII halftrack and armoured car

(...) I did indeed expect to be challenged and in your response, you have given me very good run for my money. For that I salute you.   Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

Hey Jamie, the arms are actually pretty highly posable. the sholder rotation is the best and it is strong. The elbow needs a little saran wrap on the end of the anntena ball to make it nice and stiff, but now it can hold those huge guns! As for (...)   Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

Thank you David! I made the upper arms short and made the forearms elongated as sort of my homage to the Bubblegum Crisis suits. The only thin I wish I could do is make the "hands" more real looking but at such a small scale, well... The enclosed (...)   Re: OFW IV "WolfSpyder" and the FCS ESAT "SpyderNest"

Chris, I am please that you like both of the creations! The antennas were an evolution in mecha suit design and I think I have reached the end of that evolution, I want to build something different. WOW! Thats some cool stuff Tony. Like I said in another post, I'm not much of a exo suit kinda guy but that looks cool. How posable are the arms? Like do they stay fairly tight or are they playable at all? Keep up the good work. Jamie (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)
