Is there a FAQ or Building Guide for the small scales? Because I could use help.
Until a few minutes ago, I wasn't even sure what the definitions of micro, mini,
and nano scales might be.
I'm entering a model of my house for BrickFest, and I read that a minifig would
be one brick tall. (Incidentally, though not a big deal, my model is 7 bricks
wide because of the windows and door, but if I were to convert it, that's too
big.)
I saw this thread about definitions:
http://news.lugnet.com/build/microscale/?n=602
I also see this post:
http://news.lugnet.com/build/microscale/?n=263
So, is this still generally agreed-upon?
It doesn't really matter for posting MOCs to this group does it?
Maybe a definition in the sidebar would help newbies like me. (^^)
Also, Where can I find a bunch of examples of different solutions to the same
problems? or, common uses of certain elements? I'd love to see many examples of
others' house door construction tricks for example. I looked at many MOCs, and
that has helped me. btw, I especially loved Lenny's tree trick:
http://news.lugnet.com/build/microscale/?n=602
And Marc Nelson's rowhouses:

I wish the LEGO Digital Designer software worked on my Mac. :-(

| (...) Thanks! Last year at Brickfest, Ashley Glennon had an inspiring and informative PowerPoint presentation about micro scales and pieces. I don't know if it's posted anywhere, though. Marc Nelson Jr. (URL) Marc's Creations>> (19 years ago, 4-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

| Hey Suz, Just my humble opinion, but I think microscale just means any scale smaller than minifig (or, perhaps, smaller than the old 1970's town scale). For instance, see these three interpretations of the same castle at three different scales by (...) (19 years ago, 4-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)
