  Update on my 2wide work

As promised to a couple of folks out there in micro land, a few pics of progress so far; (URL) 2, 3, 4 .. 9 I really did try to keep the number of modified parts under control, but the front of the TRU store in pic 2 just had to be done right, so (...)   Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) John..... man, I am almost speechless! Why is there not a category higher than spotlight????? By far, you have raised the bar once again, in the micro theme. I would be totally jealous if I just wasn't so amazed. Outstanding work. I LOVE this (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) BAM! Way to hit Micro to the bleachers. Way impresed. 2 Questions though, 1) How have you sercured the HO scale track to the base plates? and 2) how have you hidden the engine in something that is only 2 wide (I suspect brick butchering :D). I (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

I'm not John but.. (...) It's N scale track actually, I think. I'm guessing that perhaps he did not secure it. (...) Previous posts by JB described the massive route-out he did to accomplish putting an N scale engine guts inside of a brick shell. (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) There are some train pics here; (URL) the loco shell is seriously hollowed out. That does take practice. Although I got lucky, the second, backup shell is still unmodified. As it turns out, the track exactly snaps between plates arranged two (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Niiiice! Do I recognize a certain white building w/red roof in this pic: (URL) the microscale equivalent of: (URL) mountain as well, John. Looks like all fits on a standard LUCNY table too! This is coming to Ithaca, no? Can I run my N stuff on (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.org.us.lucny)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Oh My Goodness! That's spectacular! Having HO when I was a kid and combining the HO trains and track with LEGO buildings and landscaping was one thing, but this is wonderful! Nicely done! Dave K (19 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Now, that's what I cal, nicer micro-stuff! Really neat indeed. I remember seeing your train a while ago and I was waiting for some new stuff from you, but this is better than I expected. Will you add cars? Maybe people? I'd like to see your (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Yeah, it looks pretty bleak. I took some street level pics too, but they looked like "ghost town" so I discarded them. I think a few vehicles and some street scenery will help, as the title says, it is only half done. There have been some very (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

Very nice, I hope to see more soon. I'll have more pix up of my stuff soon, now that the LegoFactory contest has entered the final round and I don't have to design any new stuff on LDD. I'll actually try to build some real MOCs now :) Mark (...) (19 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Update on my 2wide work

SNIPPIFIED Wow, that is one of the most cute things I've ever seen! It perfectly satisfies one of my laments about building big in lego- The lack of available detail in a *limited* amount of space! Microscale is not something that really appeals to (...) (19 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)
