Thank you. I remember admiring the hospital and putting it in my personal top
tier of entries. I especially liked the driveway cover made of glass, the
red/white color scheme, and the wonderful micro-helicopter. To me, having good
"playable" vehicles that match the set theme makes it easier to imagine having
fun playing with the set.
It's all making sense to me now...Great micro models = high probability it is a
LUGNET AFOL.
Again, I wish Lego had bigger thumbnails. Another example is the yellow hospital
spotlights on the ground in your model. I might never have thought of using that
piece for that purpose - but alas, I couldn't recognize nor appreciate that
piece of your creativity in the Lego thumbnail. (And one of the voting criteria
is supposed to be "creative use of elements")
Maybe Lego should call their thumbnails "micro-nails" to go with the micro theme
of the Factory contest. (OK, bad joke)
I just visited your other models in your Brickshelf. I like the street corner a
lot - good color balance, and creative police car and bus. Also in your urban
and waterfall scene you have some good looking 1-wide monorails and trains. I
never thought 1-wide could produce anything recognizable.
The fountain in the market place is very well done - and the checkerboard is eye
catching in thumbnail. If there were black/white 1x1 tiles in the LDD pallette
I'm sure you would have considered using that (or at least I would have), since
it looks bumpy in close up with the 1x1 plates - although the plates do make it
easier to move the people around. Still, it's overall very good, especially with
the building and church facades.
Keep putting your models up on Brickshelf and in the Factory! Every great model
produces even more great ideas for the next creation!
Mark
