  Nuhvok-Ka

Hi all, This MOC started as an attempt to make a car using the Nuhvok canopy. I realised early on that I was just surrounding the canopy with regular bricks when there were plenty of other interesting parts from the Nuhvok lying around too. So I (...)   Re: Nuhvok-Ka

Just a quick update to note that I've added a spoiler, headlights and front bumper to this and put new pictures up on brickshelf, along with an efficiently streaming (read: blurry and lo-res) video of it transforming. thanks, and aplogies for (...)   Re: Nuhvok-Ka

(...) Excellent job Allister! You've pulled off the fusion of brick and Bionicle brilliantly. Too bad that that's going to cost you responses in this forum where the majority of your fellow builders don't appreciate the elegance that is Bionicle. (...) (...) Mmmm...transformers... I'd love it if that became our next fad :) This is quite cool. Nice to see a few more .spacers embracing the usability of more pieces. Just because it's bionicle doesn't mean it's crap! Adrian (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Nuhvok-Ka

(...) Hey, thanks for responding. I thought this one must have had the Bionicle kiss of Death after all this time. I admit that I was initially resistant to Bionicle myself, but I can't resist the lure of new parts, and, well, they were on sale. For (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Nuhvok-Ka

(...) Hmmm, that'd be cool, but fads seem to focus more on ideas that are simple to build and use more generic parts. Mind you, this car has a fairly simple transformation, made all the more smooth and robust by using them (inexpensive) Bionicle (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Thanks. That cam about sort of accidentally, but I like it too. It has that cobbled together Mad Max 2 feel to it. (...) Yeah, and it's dead easy to pose too. And very stable. Translation: Playability. This one survives the (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Nuhvok-Ka

(...) The first time I looked at this I wasn't too fond of it. My mind got wrapped around the idea of a sedan, and it really doesn't work for that, but as a dunebuggy it's a rather interesting design. The version shown in the last three images looks (...)   Re: Nuhvok-Ka

(...) The second version is shown transforming in the video clip. It works essentially the same except for the bumpers and lights which must be folded under. I'll put up some more photos when the pull back motor version is completed. (...) I think (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
