Time to reply and post my own comments about a few of my favorites here.
Tom Hohman's First Mecha
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=42363

Not only do I love the face, but for a first time mecha, this is remarkable.
I'd love to know the
age/background of this builder simply because I think we might have another
phenom on our
hands.

Travis Dickinson's Nosrai Version II (new?)
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=15292

Travis pointed out that this is just a rendering of an older mecha, but what
stands out on this one
is the cool weaponry. That takes time to formulate and pull off and the
Nosrai is proof that
sometimes the weaponry is the coolest part of the creation.

Nick Fair's Lightning Bugs
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=41851

Small mecha bugs in a cool colorscheme. What more can I say? I would love to
see some
articulation here, but given their size I see that isn't possible.

John Smith's LAM-Beserker
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=41053

There is a piece of artwork by an artist named Christopher Rush entitled
'The Wreched'. This is
the closest thing I've seen built out of Lego that resembles that pic. The
fact that it's Dark Grey
and Purple doesn't hurt things either (okay, I'll admit it-I love that
colorscheme!)

Peter Reid's minifig scale mechanoids
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=30440

Mecha minifig robots. They remind me of Taro Kuma's ___man creations located
in the sidebar.
Simple construction, but easily recognizable for what they are.

Those were my faves that no one pointed out in the past month. I'd love to
see what yours were...

Hello everyone! As many of you have commented to me via email, there seem to be more mecha being created than ever before and many of those seem to be getting overlooked. Whether it's because the builder doesn't post here, or because the volume of (...) (21 years ago, 2-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
