  TA-7 Rotgeist

o.k. here it is, folks! my third mecha: TA-7 "Rotgeist". inspiration came from armored core 2. i am very pleased with this moc, although there's no real original building ideas here. i was very satisfied with the sniper rifle and how the chain gun (...)   Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

Another Jason mecha! woohoo! The gunjin was awesome, so expectations are high. ;^) This mecha is fantastic! The inverted knees are very well done, they are clean and fit in with the model very nicely. I like the upside down torso alot! The bars and (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

OWWWUUCH!!! That is cool dude! I love the pop up guns on the shoulders. They remind me of the tau crisis battlesuit from Warhemmer 40k! (URL) around cool mecha Jason! L8r Tim (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

(...) thanks! it's always a pleasure to get good reviews from you. (...) that was my whole goal. like i said, the entire model was built around the reversed knee look. i'm glad it worked out. (...) the upside down torso idea was based solely on (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

whoa, deja-vu! i've never seen the warhammer mech before, but the minigun on its shoulder and my creation seem to be dead-ringers. good call! (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

Jason, This is another step up for you! This guy looks amazing. The red stripe down the center and clean red lines of the shoulders flowing to outer edge of the arms look very profesional! But the legs loose this color styling a little and the red (...) (21 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

Hey cool, dig the three peiece knee hindge. Like the feet rear splay. The shoulders look really cool, love the hatches, nice compact fit here. Really like the chest with the two inverted halves. To me, it kinda shows, (if you don't mind me saying)a (...) (21 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

(...) thanks for the compliment. using the red was a risk for me. But the legs loose this color styling a little and the red become more random then lined up. i agree. getting the color scheme was tough on the legs. i tried to get tit right several (...)   Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

wow! thanks, big-guy. great to hear from the master. as i told geordan hankinson, the whole model was build around the reversed-knee, bipedal look. thanks for noticing that. as for upping the scale, i am still somewhat limited on bricks, but i plan (...)   Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

(...) are soooo cool! Chuck full of missiles... and the sniper rifle is the greatest. I am not a big fan of inverted knees but I like this mech a lot. Great work. (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

thanks, buddy. i never used to be a big reversed-knee fan either until i saw what armored core 2 did with it. that's what started it all. my favorite weapon is the sniper rifle, too. the minigun is definately not an original idea, and the cannon was (...)   Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

I just had to comment on how nicely refined this model is, Jason. You obviously put quite a bit of effort into the design and coloration of the TA-7 Rotgeist. Other than the feet looking a bit too long (for my tastes), I can find no fault in this (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

OOOoo! Nice! Just a quick glance was enough to make me realize that this was really a stunning piece of work, but closer examination proved it was lavished in small brilliant details. Like Eric, I love the inverted chest-- took me several minutes to (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

(...) Yeah, but it still rocks. Look at the... the everything! The torso really stands out though, along with the rifle and shoulders. Very nice! Take care, Soren (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

thanks a lot! actually, i used the tanks as sort of a temporary backpack unit until i could replace it. apparently, i didn't need to. as for the feet, i actually made them long on purpose...trying to go for the anime "disproportional" or (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

thanks for the compliment. i am so pleased of the positive response i've been getting. perhaps after i take a few pointers into consideration and revamp the model a little, i may take more pics (even closer ones). (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

actually, i never expected to receive such attention regarding the torso. i'm glad you like it. (...) (21 years ago, 1-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: TA-7 Rotgeist

(...) but I had to post on how friggin cool this mecha is. Those are some really cool reverse knee legs. Definetly has that AC2 feel which is the collest mecha game bytheway. Great style-Semaj (21 years ago, 4-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
