    Mini-mecha from Lego? —Christopher Snead
I was checking out FBTB.net, and I came across this picture: (URL) anyone have the scoop on what these mini-sets are about? are those little mini mecha sets? Anyone at Brickswest know what's up? Chris (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Tim Courtney
(...) Hey Chris - Missed ya at BricksWest this year! Hope you're doing well. The mini-mecha are a part of a line (tentatively?) called Make & Create. It's an assortment of open-ended building sets that have general themes and instructions for many (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Larry Pieniazek
(...) This may actually be one of my favorite parts about this line... no back story. (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Mark Neumann
The mecha sets are pretty cool, there are going to be two I think. (different colors) But what is notable about the sets is that they will allow you to build say, four small mechs, two medium sized mechs, or one really big mech. There may or may not (...)          Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Adrian Drake
(...) Not quite. There are two mech sets in the make 'n' create line. One will allow you to build 3 minimecha in 3 different colors. The other will allow you to build one large mech. These are the main models, pictured on the cover of the box. From (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Mark Neumann
(...) Funny, I was checking out the blue ones in Enfield and that's how they explained it to us. We saw the little ones, medium sized ones and the big un' Now there may not be complete instructions for all of them (ideas for the different (...)           Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Sheree Rosenkrantz
(...) Looking around, I found additonal pictures of the Make and Create line, scans from the Dutch catalogue, at Stuifzand aka Saskia's website. (5 URLs) catalogue seems to show an Idea book associated with this line. Anyone know if this is true? (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Allister McLaren
(...) My guess is that they're books included with the sets similar to the ones in the Creator boxes. Allister (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Adrian Drake
(...) Your guess would be correct. Each set comes with an idea book that gives hints on how to build all sorts of things. Some of the books have 60-70 different ideas in them. Adrian -- (URL) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Dave Johann
(...) Adrian is correct in that we spent quite a while checking out the new parts and getting some ideas of what to expect from this line. I was impressed with the overall line and absolutely loved the animals set (lizard, crab, ant, etc) due to the (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Aiyaz Hussain
(...) This frightens me... I see horrors on the horizon... Lego is starting their own mech/thing line... I know people think this is good... But I see problems... For those like me, this could stop us from being creative... But, the pieces we need (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mini-mecha from Lego? —Mike Case
(...) I wouldn't worry. Think about how the last 5 years have changed for Lego fans. Do the space fans still build even though we have Star Wars? Do the castle fans still build even though we have Harry Potter? Do the train fans still build even (...) (22 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
