You know Mark, as much as 'mechs' often make me cringe, in addition to
bringing up negative preconceptions in my mind, I simply cannot stop
checking out and staring at your exceptional work. ;-)

Thanks, that's what I'm here for, to entertain and scare...

Wow! This is not only one of the most streamlined, evenly 'balanced', and
generally 'kewl' mechs I've ever seen, but perhaps one of the nicest MOCs as
well.

Really?  I honestly thought it looked a tad funny lacking any kind of waist,
and, well, it's got no engine built in so it's kind of a leap for me...

The legs, with exposed gearing and dark red strips are just perfect for this
mecha. The wheels on the feet make me immediately think of VOTOMS, and thus
of mecha. Simple touch, but adds psuedo-realism to this model.

See, the wheels are going to be funny for me.  I need them so the legs don't
slip all over the place when I put the mech on a hard smooth surface.  I'm
just trying to sneak them in there so it works.  Cool.

The upper body is flawless too. Here's where the evenly 'balanced' issue
comes into play. This mech, unlike most of your previous ones, has just the
'right' amount of weaponry on it. The weapons systems you chose were wise,
and make plenty of sense too. You placed the missiles in large launcher
boxes, and the cannons on swiveling 'arms', where they would clearly do the
most damage from. The dk. grey 4x4 cylinders are great connectors between
the body and the 'arms', too.

Again, really?  I thought it was a little weapon heavy seeing as there isn't
any space for ammo, power supply, life support, etc.
It does balance out nicely though I'll give it that.  I know, I'm my worst
critic.

The cockpit area is great as well. The rollbar (even though it probably
doesn't serve as that), is again, a realistic touch that adds a lot to
overall 'look' of the mech. I also like how you are reducing, or should I
say 'focusing', the number of colours on your models.

I thought the roll bar kind of sturdyfied the cockpit.  I liked the dark red
glass but didn't want to live with that big honking glass cockpit.

Thanks for the bit on focusing my colors because that's a big thing I've
been working on.  Partly because now Ihave enough of any given color that it
makes it easier to do, and watching you guys I see how it makes a
difference.  When making Ram way back when I literally switched colors when
I ran out.  I got ideas though about multi color to simulate camo or damage
but that's a discussion for another time.

Constructive Criticism: The regular red cylinders up front, even though they
are meant to be 'teeth', look more FLIR/optical sensors. If you replaced
them with perhaps white and clear cylinder bricks and plates, it would make
your this mech that much cooler, IMO.

I was looking at it today thinking I should take some half pins and stick em
in the tops of those cylinders, and then cap them with a lever dome with the
lever taken out.  (particuarily if I used a blue half pin it'd make a very
fine blue line right at the joint)  Thought it'd finish of that detail
making it look more like a ecm pod or flr pod or something akin to that.
Great minds eh?  (great minds think alike, and fools seldom differ.  I know
I'm the latter so...)

<bot>
Another very militaristic mech. The legs are well built, as are the weapons.

Constructive Criticism: The sensors underneath the smoke canopy would look
better if they were perhaps white. You could probably also squeeze one
'greebly' element in there as well. Maybe even a white preprinted computer tile?

Hey, good idea, I was thinking of making a little unit of these, Dan Parker
suggested taking the legs off and replacing them with wing units, making for
a land/air multipurpose robot.  Combine that with a support vehicle for
converting the robot from one form to another and you got a pretty cool
scene.   Neat idea eh?

Great work Mark, keep it up!

Will do buddy!
Thanks for the input!

Mark
