I was just browsing LRP translated for the first time and I saw that they
build mecha in catagories for fun. Like one month they had a transforming
catagory, the next was say mass production style. I think it would be cool
to have a sorta LRP-ish catagory for each month to get people to build new
stuff and to build different.
Here are some posible ideas I had for catagories...
1 Combine several small mechs to make a big one. (like the power ranger things)
2 Multi-ped bots
3 Micro-fig
4 geared only joints
5 Color specific( only one color that is specified ) mech
6 non violent mechs
7 old school super robots

I don't know, this is an idea to get some more activity and more community
spirt if we work on similar projects. All 'community spirt' may sound corny,
but I think it would be cool if we all did a mech under a similar topic and
see how differnent and unique everyones was.
so is i a good idea worth pushing on for or should we just stick to our
normal building?

| I think it's a pretty good idea, we do something a little similar for our SEALUG meetings a "theme" for the month. This isn't such a bad idea. It does help one to think outside of the box so to speak. Also, Jon's doing something similar with the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
