Hi! I don't normally post in .mecha, but I noticed this thread and had to
say something. Back in the '80s I happened to receive as a gift a VHS tape
with several Lego-animated shorts called "Lego Stories". There were a number
of animated characters, including a gorilla and a body builder, that used
minifigure legs as hands. I think it was produced by an animation studio in
Budapest around 1989 and distributed by TLC. But since much of the styles
used in the video are Legoland Park-ish, there seems to be a good chance
that the use of legs as hands predates the video, and most certainly
predates Lugnet. Just a thought.

| well, it is obvious that they predate LUGnet, it hasn't been around for that long. it almost seems that the legs as hands as been around since the minfigs were intro duced... but i want to know when the 'arms' as fingers styles began they were made (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
