Look at the fingers.  They are minifig arms.  That's what Jacob's asking
about I think.  I don't know who started the minifig legs as hands thing.
That one is lost to the ages unless someone here remembers.

Really? I thought Sun Yun ((URL) did. At least that's the first place I saw them. (...) Not me, but I think it's a great way to get a quick hand that can hold a weapon securely. I used it here ((URL) Teacher: Define Sarcasm in five (\`--/') _ (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
