Hey, this set looks great! I wonder what joints they use? I bet it's going to be expensive though, my guess around $90 like the Repub. Gunship. All this talk of articulation points reminds me of an actual splined robot. Basically, it was a series of convex circles through which ran a series of wires, with a space in the middle for a spray hose or pressure cleaning equipment to pass through. (...) i'm going to have to agree with anne. bionicle never really interested me because they seem so distant from the lego norm. i own two of the same bionincle because i realized what fantastic potential the ball joints have for mecha. (...) I did try a layer of superglue (all I had to hand) and it seemed to work a little, but I suspect with another coat or two it might work. Nail polish sounds like a good idea. i found an idea posted by someone (i can't remember who) who mentioned that if you cut a small piece (about a centimeter) of a small rubber hose (like the pneumatic tubing only smaller) and place it in the socket, it increases friction substantially (...) The main reason it would make sense to quote the total DOF is that is determines the volume the arm needs or is able to work in. For example imagine a snake-bot with a dozen 2 DOF joints.
