Hi all, I haven't posted for some time, but I've finally finished a new
mecha design.  It's actually a prototype for some future designs that I have
in mind.  I think you'll find it quite interesting, not only in form, but in
posability.  I don't know that I've seen another mecha with this much
potential for poses.  Thus the large number of pictures that I've put on my
site.

Next up is a Fei Yen from Virtual On to this same scale with the same
posability.  I'm eager to get started.

Well, take a look and let me know what you think of her, the site is

Hey Dave,

Whoa!  H-e-l-l-o!  This is one of the more freakiest things I've seen!  I
really mean that as a compliment!! Really!

It's weird though,  my brain is filling in all of the info and telling me
that your MOC is real (human) but at the same time It's just a piece of
plastic!!  I kinda had the same response when I saw Virtua Fighter for the
first time.  The characters were so polygonal that I knew that it was just a
computer simulation but they moved so fluidly (compared to 2-D animated
games) that I was a little weirded out.  Same effect here.

And I can't wait for your Fei-Yen!  I have both action figs and I think that
they're the epitome of articulation and the number of realistic poses you
can achieve with them are amazing!  Okay, I'm geeking out here.

Can't wait! More! More! More!

Jeff

Thanks to all for the compliments, I'm glad everyone seems to like this model so well. I personally found it very enjoyable to build and am really satisfied with the results. As mentioned, I intend to build on this design for some future projects. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
