New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Mark Neumann
Here it is, The Black Eagle. The Snow Leopard Clan's newest air/space superiority mecha. (URL) Eagle has a 43.5 inches wing span, 138 studs. Length is 26 inches, 82 studs. Height is variable at 4 inches with dorsal gun and talons retracted and 10 (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Stuart Immonen
OH MANNNNNNNN!!!!!!! THIS IS THE BEST MECH EVER! Well, maybe, anyway! I just LOVE this! Looks like it came right out of Battle of the Planets! The building skills demonstrated here are, of course, lovely, but the idea of it is absolutely superior-- (...)          Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Eric Sophie

Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Mark Neumann
My God! Drool is actually coming through the screen. That's gross. :=0 I'm just afraid to see what's going to come of this. I got other ideas but can you see a Dragon mech of this ilk? I thought of doing a Raven too. Now that'd be cool. Thanks for (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Mladen Pejic
LOL! This really something original... ;-D Great job as always Mark. I love the weapons you managed to "sneak" in. The cockpit is cool too, sorta reminded me of the one found on Metal Gear REX (of course this happens quite frequently to me). :-) (...)          Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Mark Neumann
Thanks. I've wanted a creation that could be mistaken for a sculpture when everything was hidden. I think I got it right. I know that because I just sort of stare at the thing...         Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Kyle Keppler
Hey that is sweet. Orginal and funny as hell. :-P Mah only rant: The body of the eagle is a little square like, slopes work wonders! Nice job though. :-P (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Mark Neumann
You know that's my only beef too. Body's a bit square but it does look better in person, so much you wouldn't notice. Also, it's hard to see but the body does taper in the back and there are slopes on the front of the body. Ultimately the body's (...)         Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Austin Bailey
Mark, man...that's awesome. very non-mecha looking. great to see something different that is done so superbly. very nice. i like the sort of non-artificial look to it. there are alot of humanoid mecha, lots of machine looking, and several animal-ish (...)          Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Mark Neumann
Yeah, I was shooting for something different. Make it look life like. Actually I wanted something universially appealing. Something my wife wouldn't mind displaying in the living room and that I thought was cool. This brings up a interesting issue (...)         Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Adrian Drake
That's very cool. It reminds me of Anthony Sava's dragons. It and my Black Widow Spider mech would look very cool in a giant robot menagerie zoo :) Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Mark Neumann
I have to admit, I've smothered my screen with drool looking at his dragon and can't deny that they were an influence. He's removed some of the construction pics though so I'm not sure how his are put together anymore. On Black Eagle the flight (...)         Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Brian Cooper
(...) You really only get this sense with articulated mecha like this, not solid sculptures. The feather design on the wing is very organic and natural looking. I'd call this the Black Buzzard though, it has a roughness that is more like that bird, (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Mark Neumann
(...) It only seemed natural to adapt it to mecha. Besides, I'm a sucker for things with guns... (...) You're right about the beak. Eagle's aren't quite so pointed. It would be more appropriate to level it off then have the front of the beak drop (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC. Black Eagle Mech —Geordan Hankinson
Now that is one cool mecha, hehe, awesome, it looks like it has really good articulation, and all of it is mechanized too, just too cool, This is such a clever idea too, I mean, I would never have thought to take a bird of prey to mecha. hehe, (...)
