Since you brought it up, do you mind if I ask a few questions? I'm
curious about which CAD programs you've tried on your 486. MLCAD and
LeoCad support the mouse. Are they too slow on the 486, or is the
problem a lack or screen space or colors? What operations do you
want the mouse for? I imagine you've tried LEdit and had some sort
of problem with the keyboard-only interface that tried your patience.
What was it?
I'd like to know because I tried to target the LEdit emulation mode
in ldglite to work on crummy old PCs like my 486 laptop. Right now
the interface for that is all keyboard (like LEdit). Well, actually
you can spin the model with the mouse. But I'm open to suggestions
if I think they'll improve the building process.

| (...) Yes to all the above. I tried LEdit, was too slow, and the redraw rate [on my machine] is enough to induce a seizure. Also, I use a 28.8 modem, so I'm very hesitant about downloading another program that prolly won't work after the LEdit (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad)
