I'm no photography, but looking at those images, I notice that Zero Three
has a nice contrast to its background.  In MS04, the background is primarily
black with some red (the scaffolding), the same colors as the mecha.  This
could definitely contribute to the feeling that MS04 is 'murky badness'.
