I really like them! The modified helldog looks really good! I like the head, it reminds me of a particular Gundam ummmm, can't remember what it's called, anyway good job. The jets on the back are nice, I like how you use the skis around the outside. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update: Another Good Day for Mecha —Mark Sandlin
(...) Thanks. I modeled the head after the Zaku mecha from Gundam. (...) Thanks. I learned that technique from Colin Gutierrez. I never would have thought to use thin walls in that way. Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest ones. (...) Erm, (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) ANd the Anubis looks cool too. I especially like the use of the Bionicle claws. Keep 'em coming. (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update: Another Good Day for Mecha —Stuart Immonen
(...) Beautiful! Really inspired work! Excellent colour and sense, and creative head designs. Simply great! The Helldog ][ appears to have two ball joints at each knee-- is this right? This would restrict movement to two dimensions, if I'm thinking (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update: Another Good Day for Mecha —Mark Sandlin
(...) Thanks. :^) (...) He doesn't need to swing his legs back and forth since: a) He won't be walking and b) I don't plan to make him sit down. My Hardygun mecha utilizes the same construction, which is enough to move the legs around a bit for (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Not necessarily true. Check out: Brian Cooper's Mecha: (URL) Snead's Mecha: (URL) mecha offer tons of articulation and look cool to boot. ;-) (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update: Another Good Day for Mecha —Mark Sandlin
(...) How is it not true? Chris and Brian have come up with some ingenious ways for strengthening their joints, but I don't see how that disproves my assertion. They have created ways to conbat the instability is all. ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update: Another Good Day for Mecha —Stuart Immonen

(...) also like your spider mecha, your Space Police hovercycle, and The Neverwhere. I have a few suggestions for you, though, Mark. I think that the base for the Arachnoid Star Base would be an excellent idea for attaching eight REAL mecha legs and (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Did you read my post that I sent the other day, Mark? The game that I was referring to was a game that is known as Darius Twin, at least that was the only Darius game that was released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment system. The vehicle (...)    Hey Mark what's up? I haven't checked Lugnet in days. I see you finally posted pictures of the Helldog II. Very nice pics. They do the model justice. It's still one of my favorites of yours.
