Hmm...looking at the pictures on FBTB, I was checking out the mecha for the
new Mars theme(Marsbase, you'll note was here a looong time before. 8) ).
Anyone notice anything familiar about the hip design?

Gah! It's just a juniorized version. Grr... Somebody restore my faith in
the creative genius of TLC. Please.
Granted there are some good looking parts (That canopy kicks a$$), but for
TLC to plagerize(sp?) such a vital part of a mecha just stinks.
However, I have to admit that this seems like evidence that TLC is actually
paying attention. To bad there seems to be a dark side.

There are only so many ways to model a human-like hip given the parts selection in LEGO- and since they Life on Mars mech uses click-hinges, where Colin's hip uses Technic parts, I'd go so far as (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
