Hmm...looking at the pictures on FBTB, I was checking out the mecha for the
new Mars theme(Marsbase, you'll note was here a looong time before.  8) ).
Anyone notice anything familiar about the hip design?
Here's the pic of TLC's mecha:

(sorry for the huge size)

Check out the hip instructions from Colin's site:
http://www.geocities.com/vrey_oneida/garhip.html

Gah!  It's just a juniorized version.  Grr...  Somebody restore my faith in
the creative genius of TLC.  Please.

Granted there are some good looking parts (That canopy kicks a$$), but for
TLC to plagerize(sp?) such a vital part of a mecha just stinks.

However, I have to admit that this seems like evidence that TLC is actually
paying attention.  To bad there seems to be a dark side.

(...) I think you're being a little overly paranoid. There are only so many ways to model a human-like hip given the parts selection in LEGO- and since they Life on Mars mech uses click-hinges, where Colin's hip uses Technic parts, I'd go so far as (...)
