This sounds like an awesome idea!! The combination of train/town/mecha to
make a diorama of a war-torn city. Are there ay examples of what a war-torn
building would look like in Lego? I can think of a number of games that
would give good visual references, but I havent seen any done in lego yet.

A couple of years ago I did one for a WWII setting. I recall it was pretty
fun to start building it as if it were whole and healthy, and then let the
form degenerate into chaos as I went along:

Woah that is utterly fantabulous. Much like a butterface, its intriguing one
moment...then POW! I love the use of the old crater base plate. Id like to
see a whole series of those buildings. It would be like LEGO Band o Brothers.
