Mmmm... OKAY! :-p
First off, I really like how you took this mecha in a new direction, without
betraying your signature style.
Secondly, this mecha is just fabulous, both technically and aesthetically.
For example, the way the lower legs have a very solid look to them, and also
house tracks for maneuvering, is impressive. The connection between the
chassis/thorax and the cockpit is also both pleasing to the eye, and highly
functional.
I was just floored when I saw this pic:
It reminded me of that end-game battle in Metal Gear Solid with Metal Gear REX.
The mecha in that game does a similar stretch as your Qwelder... alluding to
its namesake. Its just amazing you captured that kind of fluidity and motion in
a model that is more angular than your previous models.
Finally, your parts usage is excellent and I like how much more controlled it
is, with respect to some of your past models. There is still the obligatory
Sophie- chair, faucet, and so on, but theyre a lot less conspicuous.
I know this will probably be an exception in your building career, since it is a
violent, military-themed creation, but I really do hope to see more models
from you that have the same clarity and conciseness as this one. Of course, your
recent mecha have been just that, so perhaps Im wasting my time telling you
something you already know yourself.
Fantastic entry. Good luck Eric.
