There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That's one firearm for every 12 people on the planet. The only question is: how do we arm the other 11? --- Yuri Orlov / LORD OF WAR Hello friends. I have almost same impression for the (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Last night I had a dream... Not what you might think, it was of a small robot. So this morning I gave it a good hour. And this is the result so far: (2 URLs) deep link> (2 URLs) deep link> (2 URLs) deep link> So now I'm thinking what to do. Should I (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Hi Mark, how many entries am I allowed to bring into contest? Is it only one, per builder or can it be more? Marco (19 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: My meager attempt

(...) Jon, This is the first time that I have used those joint halves (and excited for an opportunity to use them) to make a Mecha and I never really thought about how they should work. Thanks for the suggestion, I am going to implement it. It is a (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Welcome to the Building Arena, IRON MECHA

(...) Interesting Hip technique. I assume that the friction caused by the three plates and the 1/2 technic bushes would allow for posability especially where the hip would only be moving in the x-plane. I like it. Brian (19 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New Mindstorms Robot (hadn't heard a peep here on .mecha)

(...) In your blog, you mention that the new elements to build square frames are in the 8436. Looking at the 8436 inventory on Peeron, I didn't see anything I thought was the piece (and I don't have 8436). I was guessing the new piece is L-beam with (...) My first attempt at a 'sketch' of sorts (experimenting with form & function only, not color): (3 URLs) Not sure yet if I'm overdoing the hip and underdoing the leg joints - this is only my second mech.   Re: Welcome to the Building Arena, IRON MECHA

(...) Thanks! I've always suspected that the main .mecha worm gear builders were exploiting the gears to create the largest mecha the gears could support.
