  Re: State of .mecha

I've been doing some research on .mecha and ran across this beautifully worded post from Stuart (via Soren). It seems to me that the .mecha group is at a sort of crossroads and thought this might kickstart some discussion as to the direction of the (...) (19 years ago, 29-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: BLACK BEAR

Okay, For fear of repeating that which was said before, I did prefer The Cub. However, I think some subtle contrasting colours might have brought out the detail more (not quite with Soren on the blacktron Black and Yellow look). Maybe some (...)   Re: IRON MECHA

(...) "Sitcom partner!" That is slander! I will sue your ass! I wasn't going to enter this because of time constraints, and a copyright office due date on Feb 1, but now that the gauntlet has been thrown, I have no choice. I'm in. -Dan (19 years ago, 29-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Lego Exoforce

snippage throughout (...) I just ordered mine through S/H. So I'll probably get them sometime next week. Germans are usually late with LEGO? That seems so, wrong. (...) Which is the one really huge selling point for me. I think that this first run (...) (19 years ago, 29-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Mono and Stonefrog

(...) Well they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Both builds look good, and have your own touches that make them just a little different from the originals. I like them. I also have to agree with eric that the opening out body on (...) (19 years ago, 29-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: .mecha loading slowly??

(...) It isnt, but then between exoforce and Bionacle they have headed generally in the mecha direction for some time. Some of the classic space sets were mecha-like. So in that respect, Lego have had a number of official sets which are mecha. For (...) (19 years ago, 29-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Lego Exoforce

(...) Well, the germans are always late with LEGO. We'll get the sets in february. So I can only argue due to pics I've already seen in the net. I agree to Tobias, the models are much worse than I expected, when I heard there would be a mecha (...) (19 years ago, 29-Dec-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Lego Exoforce

Having found some of these sets already in my local Toymaster store I'd like to comment on a couple of points raised. (...) Actually there are no printed pieces in any of the sets I've bought (7700, 7702, 7708 and 7711). It's all done with stickers. (...) (19 years ago, 29-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: BLACK BEAR

(...) Thank you. Though I am happy with the photos. This is a model best appreciated in person. When a Lego Fan views a model using black, this ought to be a given. (...) Your very right. Though we give ourselves artistic license when we build. That (...) (19 years ago, 29-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
