MAD-CM-01 - First humanoid mecha —danny staple
Okay, This is my first attempt at a humanoid looking mecha. MAD-CM-01 is a Medium Armoured Dextrous-Combat Mecha. It is designed for versatility in many situations, and might be used to scout ahead, or in numbers as a support force. (URL) With good (...) (19 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Hello Danny, the humanoids are hard to build. I've had my troubles every time I tried. So for the first attempt I'd say this is a good result. As you stood to the Titan box your ressources were limited too. Well, this box seems to be a good (...) (19 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Hi Marco, Thanks for the feedback. It is the second time I have built only from the titan box - I must admit to really liking it. My other thought is that since I eventually post the LDraw DATs for my models, then being built from one box (and (...) (19 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Okay - I have actually made a couple of modifications, it is interesting that my wife actually pointed out the same thing as Marco - she remembered what transformers looked like from her childhood. So - there is now a bit below the waist, and I (...) (19 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Ahhh Ha! Looks, looking, checks out, looks, looks some more, looking. Hey cool! First one heh? Yay! Looking, checking out, looks at parts, sees, sees details, looks at form, looks at parts. Ahhh Ha! fine job! This is nice to see Danny! e (19 years ago, 21-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) snip Excellent work, Danny. I would also suggest "kit bashing" the Prehistoric Creatures set. My Python, Jackrabbit, Samuraii, and Contract Killer were made almost entirely from that particular set. Keep on building! -Jon (19 years ago, 21-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Hi Jon, Thanks for that, I may have a look. I didnt realise there was actually the term "kit bashing " for it.. I think I still have some mileage left in the XP kit.. Plus I still have not actually built the headline model, which I would like (...) (19 years ago, 21-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: MAD-CM-01 - First humanoid mecha —Mladen Pejic
I just love bipedal mecha that can do poses! Well done on that account Danny! :-) The legs and the arms are pretty good, but that torso is just a bit too thin. I know you probably made it that way to balance the mecha when standing, but you could (...) (19 years ago, 21-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: MAD-CM-01 - First humanoid mecha —danny staple
(...) Thanks. (...) I think it comes from the fact that this mecha kinda of grew, and so the size increased a few times. I did make the torso wider, although I really didnt consider making it thicker. (...) You know - I couldnt quite get the head to (...) (19 years ago, 21-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
