Hello Danny,

the humanoids are hard to build. I've had my troubles every time I tried. So
for
the first attempt I'd say this is a good result.

As you stood to the Titan box your ressources were limited too. Well, this box
seems to be a good starting point. Should get me one.

On your MOC page you wrote, that you made several attempts to get the
poseability good. Were those problems due to the rotational click hinges?

If you don't mind, I've one thing is disturbing the overall look, IMHO. The
upper body ends with the hinges connecting the legs. I'd suggest to add two or
three studds bellow those hinges. Maybe by using one of those triple shaped
bricks you used right over the knee. BTW, why did you use siple click hinges
for
the knee joint? Was it because they are easier to cover?

Enjoy!

Danny

That's what I did. Hope to see more from you¬

Hi Marco,
Thanks for the feedback. It is the second time I have built only from
the titan box - I must admit to really liking it. My other thought is
that since I eventually post the LDraw DATs for my models, then being
built from one box (and having a few built from that) extends the life
of it.

As it was my first attempt - I built it in a very haphazard fashion -
no skeleton and skinning. I had the real trouble that sometimes I
would try to rotate the click hinges, and the bricks on the end of
them would pop out - pulling an arm or leg to pieces, so I really had
to go in and strengthen them all. I am new to those click hinges - I
like them, but I am getting used to working with them.

Hmm - I may try something there to extend the pelvis area - I was
thinking of using another of the parts that I used for the face, and
turning the bley peice at the bottom there around to meet it - if I
modify that, I will post the result...

The knee joint actually started as using the rotational click hinges,
but they are hard to cover (as you astutely pointed out), and I didnt
seem to have enough of them.  I also want to add a little more
covering over those upper leg rotational click hinges - they seem a
little too exposed.

I also realise now that my gallery link was actually the wrong link -
and should be http://orionrobots.co.uk/tiki-browse_gallery.php?galleryId=16

Okay - I have actually made a couple of modifications, it is interesting that my wife actually pointed out the same thing as Marco - she remembered what transformers looked like from her childhood. So - there is now a bit below the waist, and I (...) (19 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
