Hi Marco,
Thanks for the feedback. It is the second time I have built only from
the titan box - I must admit to really liking it. My other thought is
that since I eventually post the LDraw DATs for my models, then being
built from one box (and having a few built from that) extends the life
of it.
As it was my first attempt - I built it in a very haphazard fashion -
no skeleton and skinning. I had the real trouble that sometimes I
would try to rotate the click hinges, and the bricks on the end of
them would pop out - pulling an arm or leg to pieces, so I really had
to go in and strengthen them all. I am new to those click hinges - I
like them, but I am getting used to working with them.
Hmm - I may try something there to extend the pelvis area - I was
thinking of using another of the parts that I used for the face, and
turning the bley peice at the bottom there around to meet it - if I
modify that, I will post the result...
The knee joint actually started as using the rotational click hinges,
but they are hard to cover (as you astutely pointed out), and I didnt
seem to have enough of them. I also want to add a little more
covering over those upper leg rotational click hinges - they seem a
little too exposed.
I also realise now that my gallery link was actually the wrong link -
and should be http://orionrobots.co.uk/tiki-browse_gallery.php?galleryId=16

| Okay - I have actually made a couple of modifications, it is interesting that my wife actually pointed out the same thing as Marco - she remembered what transformers looked like from her childhood. So - there is now a bit below the waist, and I (...) (19 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
