In the interest of bolstering my own build-to-mouth ratio, I have a couple new
small Mechs to show. These are both build to the modular standard I use in my
BrickMech game, so theyre made of interchangeable parts (legs-torso-right/left
shoulder-right/left arm)
The Berserker started out life with smallish missile launchers for arms
but Rick Hallman pointed out that a beefy torso needs beefier arms. I think I
went big enough. Um, I think the mech may be using its armament to... I
dunno... compensate for something. That garbage can... um... I couldnt find
the part I wanted. I thought the garbage can would be cool but then discovered
I couldnt attach the parts I wanted to attach to the handles.
Im using those new Exo-Force pieces for fingers, but had to slip a couple
Technic pieces inside to actually hold the gun. The gun is heavy enough that I
dont know that Ill ever use that arm as-is for gaming, but Im very pleased
with the look.
I built the Miner a couple months ago with two goals in mind. 1) Use the
Bionicle parts I got from Purple Dave two years ago, and b) make a utility mech
along the lines of the original BattleTech stuff by WizKids (Age of
Destruction?)
While the mech doesnt make me feel all warm and fuzzy, its a good mix of
components to add to my collection for games.

| (...) Hi Peter, First of, thanks for posting this. It's a refreshing break from all the bickering. :-) (...) I really like the interchangeable parts thing you got going. Rick Hallman is a smart man, he advised you well. The torso is a bit large, but (...) (19 years ago, 21-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
