The final joint to the body has two technic 1x2 bricks with axle holes
Theres a 4l axle running through both of them capped with technic balls on
either side. Then I used plate hinges
+
to sandwich the technic 1x2 bricks and bricked the leg to the body.

I steal them from other SEALUG members.... I mean... uh, damn. No, Ive
been collecting them for a while. Its a combination of old parts, Pitsco,
and the newest SW sets. (when you consider a Pitsco pack of 36 links=$10
and a Wookie Attack comes with 71 in a $30 set... That means 2/3rds of the
value of that set is tank tread links! So, get the set 20% off... yeah
man.)
