The updates are very scarce but now I found some time to add a new model to my website:

It’s an old Scania LS111 Super with Nooteboom low loader.

It took a long time before this model was finished: about one and a half year. But I didn’t built frequently. During some months I didn’t touch any LEGO piece.

Here’s the description of this model.

I’m still busy with typing a story about the Menck dragline. It’s a fully operational machine which can do everything. More about the Menck later.

Feel free to comment.

(...) Hi Dennis, I have been visiting your site a lot of time lately to see what model you were going to add to the collection. I must say, it has really been worth waiting. What a great model, its hard to see which one is the brick one and which (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Hey Dennis, I said this once before in response to a Ross Neal train engine, and it applies again here: The old definition of greatness - you look at the thumbnail of a MOC and aren't sure right away that it's not a real train (or crane in this (...) (...) Dennis, you are an artist! There are so many great builders out there. It’s nice to see what Legos can really do. I enjoyed your site. Paul (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

These are great models Dennis. Having seen the excavator in the brick I am really looking forward to reading about its workings when you get a page written about it. Jennifer (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) Very impressive, as are the other trucks on your site. Sticking at one project for so long is to be commended. I always wished there could be kits of trucks like these, with working functions. I did a few less-detailed trucks as a teenager but (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Wow! I'm just back from a very impressive show in Berlin and the first thing I find on lugnet after my return is the announcement of this great model. Seems a few days without internet access really makes you miss something ... As always, your model (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

(...) I'm glad to have seen the Scania in person last year when I visited your home. I can certainly say that the pictures do not do it justice. It is a great model with many details. It's construction is amazing- the advanced techniques you've used (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam)
