I really like these models. You really seem to get the most out of any of the
parts you build with. Who needs curved wedges when you have 2x4 bricks :).
The RX-79 has a pretty good form, and i am astonished as to how you managed to
make a gundam head with only certain basic parts!
My favorite of the two, by far, is the rgm-79. The color, the weapons, and the
overall form just seems better than the rx-79. I actually REALLY like the head
design on the rgm, it looks simple but seems pretty detailed. The one problem i
have with the RGM is the connection from the shoulder to lower arm. That wierd
technicpin/click hinge piece, it just seems to skinny to hold those parts
together.
As for the hands, i cant really give any ideas for a new actual hand design, as
this scale really only has 1 method that fits it well.
But If you want to get more of a sniper pose with a rifle like that, the
wrists need to have full articulation. When i made a previous model, I pretended
to be holding a rifle, and see what parts of my wrist and arm were bent, and
then try and create an arm that had similar articulation. I see you already have
the wrist some of the extra articulation, with the old 1x2 hinge brick.
I dont know if my comments were helpful or not, or even readable (typing on a
laptop, arg) Nonetheless, i definately have to see some more stuff soon!

| (...) Hehehe, exactly! I'm by no means a lego purist, but I do love my 2x4's. Also, the RX-79 and RGM-79 have rather sharp lines anyway, they aren't your average Deathscythe/Wing Gundams. More 'military', I guess. (...) Thanks. The key to the head (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| Hey All- I have finally finished doing one of my dreams: building a lego gundam that looks good. Heck, I built two! May I present to you the RX-79 Desert Variant and the RGM-79 Sniper: (URL) Sorry if the pic is a bit big, but I'm proud of them :<) (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
