Stop. Hammer time! Mark, Pics just don’t do this bad-mofo justice. The fact that this masterpiece only received two responses (and you can’t count E because he’s clinically insane), is mind boggling.

OK, OK, you’re are definitely right. I even wonder myself why I didn’t respond at once when I found this amazingly cool mecha. Over the past couple of years, the word “Hammer” has become a synonym for “very, very cool” among the teenagers in Germany. Here we all can see how true this is!

hehe, hammer dude. What would be the expression in German?

Congratulations! I especially appreciate the combination of technic and space parts to make it both solid and cool looking.

Thanks, the only way to do it big. Along with mech builders I study the folks that do the big cranes and industrial vehicles. I mean, woof, the forces they exert on the brick, wow.

Very, very well done. I would love to see pictures of construction details, but perhaps these details should remain the secret of sophisticated builders like Mark.

Ha, no way. I’ll tell all. The way I figure it, if someone else will do it better, I can learn from that. Then, I’ll go bigger yet...

The turntables use a technic beam (studless) of a 5x4 (5x3?) right angle type. Two pins hold the angle in the base of the turntable and the worm screw sits neatly in the end, where it can grab the teeth on the edge of the turntable. The rest is strenthinging to keep it all togeter. Apply to your needs. The legs are a hollow structure of technic brick with plates on top, anchored to the turntables by technic pins. I did try to get pics of hip but they didn’t turn out so great. If your interesed go ahead and e-mail me, I’ll get some detail pics to you of what you might be interested in.

Unfortunately I don’t take pictures as I build. The Build process is so chaotic, that I find myself done by the time I think to take a picture.

Mark
