  Re: Fly-Bot

Man you build some creepy looking stuff. Just think if a Gundam, Labor, or Valk ran into one of those! The pilots would have to change their drawers! I see that each leg is mounted on a turn table so it spins, but do the legs go up and down by way (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) - There seems to be a new 1 x 2 + 1 x 2 hinge, look at the dark gray/light gray thingies that hold the bottom side panel. /Tobbe (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: It's perfect!

(...) Okay, so I'm wrong about animal skeletons. The equivalent for mammals then is for you to get down on all fours and walk on knuckles and tiptoes, with your knees facing forward and your elbows facing backward. Nevertheless, the AT-AT doesn't (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Holy (very bad word)! Someone actually saw that!?!? Yeah, I'll have more stuff up as soon as I get my camera program fixed. No instructions yet, 'cause I own a Mac and can't use lDraw. (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Wow you are good. When I first looked at it I couldn't tell it was made from lego's until I enlarged the pic. (URL) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: It's perfect!

(...) Bad form, but I'm replying to my own message - 'cause I forgot to tie it into Star Wars. I did a quick study a couple of years ago on the AT-ST. If you check out the pictures from the movie, you can see that the AT-ST does indeed have a knee (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: It's perfect!

(...) Weeelllll, technically, that's not right. All mammals have knees that bend in the same basic direction - as long as you have a consistent definition for a knee. In most mammals, though, the thigh bone is much shorter and compacted into the (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: It's perfect!

as a matter of fact, all mammals have similar bone stuctures. if you compare a dog's leg and a human leg, you see that they both have knees, heels, and toes. the knee on a dog, like a human, bends forward. however, it looks like it bends backward. (...) What???? I think there is something wrong with your dog. ;) Dogs knees face forward in the back. Do you mean the front legs? My two cents, Mark M. (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.mecha)
