Re: New MOC: Ravage G1 Transfomer URL

Very Cool, Anne! Ravage was my other favorite Transformer right behind Megatron, so this has definitely been a great month for Lego Transformers, afaiac! He looks quite posable and has a great 'feel' about him. Lego Transformers-More Than Meets the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: articulation points?

(...) Very interesting thread. A bit OT (and picky ;) mabye, but about the human arm: If you examine your arm closley you'll find that the rotation of the hand actualy comes from the elbow witch rotates the under arm. The wrist only actes as a dual (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Build-a-Bot Hit 10,000 Hits!

Congrats, Eric! When you first put up Build-a-Bot, I thought it was a great idea that would take quite a while to catch on. You proved me wrong. ;) Yes, I'll Build-a-Bot someday, but for now I just enjoy seeing everyone else's creations. Keep up the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.inst)

Not to be a goof, but, OMG! Bram is Crazy Smart! I gotta go a take some more vitamins and drink Carrot Juice! Ahhh! I see the concept much the same, I figure if we refer to a POA in a Mecha model as the counting scheme, we won't get alot of run away (...)   Re: New GA! (well sort of new)

(...) Jeff, The first time I saw this, I thought: Was Jeff inspired by Iron Man's enemy, Titanium Man? The first pic is a classic Titanium Man pose complete with all the right colors. I'd say you've done a fantastic job hiding the Lehvak (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New GA! (well sort of new)

(...) Bastagesesses! (...) Ya that's some pretty unusual colors and stuff you got goin on there. Classic Ranjo construction. Good way to use some of those parts. Like in the hands.   Re: articulation points?

(...) It seems so, Jenifer has brought to light that the two don't always correspond, and or there can be differences. It's pretty interesting, although I never really thought about it seriously before, I just build stuff. ;) (...) Well, more so (...)   New GA! (well sort of new)

Hey y'all, Here's the latest GA. It's been up for a while on Brickshelf but I've been too lazy to post here so here it goes. Guardian Armored Hayashi (Forest) (URL) been putting this one off for a while because of those darn assymetrical hand (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: articulation points?

o.k. so let me get this right: poa doesn't necessarily dictate dof. poa refers to the axes a given object can rotate around, but dof refers to the limitations (or lack thereof) in space a given object can move around in. according to eric, i may use (...) (...) Looks like someone forgot a link :) (URL) for suggestions, make him transform! Hmm... real suggestions.. I'm not sure they make them in grey or black, but you could perhaps make the 'thighs' thinner (1 brick thick with a double-ended (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Ravage G1 Transfomer URL

(...) Thanks. It was an interesting experience doing a mech of any type, and I'm hoping with the techniques I play with over time I'll be able to get him to transform. (...) Yeah, he and Soundwave are my favourites. :) (...) It's LEGOs, dude. Anything is possible. :) Hopefully in the future, I'll be able to get it to transform. Sweet, I dig stuff like that, when you get a chance, (I feel kinda bad saying this but) Could you make the wings swing back with little turntables or somthing? I just thought it would be cool if it did that. Anyway, cool deal. e (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  RE: articulation points?

(...) However, a device is made up of several objects. Each component, if treated separately, has six degrees of freedom. Thus each component of, for example, the human arm (reduced to an upper arm, lower arm, and hand) has 6 DOF, for a total of 18. (...)   Re: articulation points?

(...) Oh? Hmmm...do tell. (...) Right! I see. In my own way I work around certain "movements" or joints by making two separete joints cover the same envelope or Area or Control. I mean in that, for example. The Arms of my Super Mech-Bot don't have (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)
