  Fully Transformable Robotech Cyclone

Had the urge to make the Robotech Cyclone. Hope you guys like it. This is just a standard issue Cyclone armor. When I have time I will make all the characters and their armor like Joel and Todd did. They were a great source of inspiration. I could (...) (22 years ago, 23-Oct-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.announce, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Mechastruct Still On

(...) Hey, I was wondering if I could enter my Phalanx Mech ((URL) in your contest. It was built after the contest was announced (see date on the lugnet post), but I didn't announce it as a contest entry. Is it still eligible for entry? Thanks, (...)   Mechastruct Still On

Hello! I just wanted to remind everyone that the Mechastruct Contest is still on! I hope you guys are building some great mecha out there! If you haven't heard about the Mechastruct contest or you wish to read the rules, check out the official site: (...)   Re: My new Mecha: Saber

Well, got to see your pics, and I just had a complete deja vu (sp?) experience! Your saber looks just like one of my OLD mechas. Not exactly the same granted, your torso is way better! Anywho, I like what you have done, the colors go well and it (...) (22 years ago, 22-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  My new Mecha: Saber

I just was messing around with those 3X2 wedge pieces and those horizontal hinge plates, and found an interesting build for a mecha torso. I then added on to that and built the rest of the torso and arms. I also used car doors so i could have the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Vector Comics

Hey Cool, I was asked to set up some Mecha at Vector Comics in Bayonne NJ. I brought a few to "wet the owners appetite". We are in negotiation for renting the Gomgile. (URL) tell ya, this is gonna be one of the tough things about being buisness like (...)   Re: new renders of LM-002 Fatalle

Stoopid question time (I seem to be full of them this week) Is this model actually buildable (sp??)? Do you have instructions? Looks like it would be fun to make. Cmdr Scooter (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new renders of LM-002 Fatalle

I'll render closeups of some of the main pieces of interest, including the hips and shoulders. I think you'll be suprised at how I did the hips, it's a pretty interesting technique. One of the things I did that you can see from the current images is (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new renders of LM-002 Fatalle

(...) Glad you like these, I use 3dStudio to render the images (I modeled all the peices myself). One of the tricks to making it look "cartoonish" is using self illumination (about 35%) on the materials, that way the colors are vibrant and you (...)   Re: Batman Beyond

(...) Nice use for Galidor-- cool "abs" and utility belt, and nice, clean head, resembling the character well. Awesome! stuart (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: Tallgeese III

(...) Sure, go right ahead-- I don't have any instructions (as of yet), but it's fairly straightforward building. Good luck! stuart (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: Tallgeese III

(...) Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the compliments-- much appreciated. The hands use skeleton minifig legs for fingers-- inspired in part by Gla Gla's innovative "arm-fingers". I'll post more poses in the near future. stuart (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new renders of LM-002 Fatalle

(...) These are really great renders, they came out looking like sketches or paintings (or cartoons, actually), which really rocks. Can you talk about how you did them? Pov? MegaPOV? Bryce? Something else? And did you do any post processing? Thanks! (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Jamocklaquat - Mission Three and Four Completed -

Hi James, The final design will Walk. Though it will not be Bipedal I'm afraid. I have a few ideas brewing around multiple legs. At first I wanted a bipedal necha but the lack of gyro tech concludes the thought. Multiple legs will be the solution. (...)
