Re: New Mecha and LDraw Files

(...) Thanks Chris! Good observation, you are right about this mecha looking more natural. My previous mecha ('cept Joker) have had really crappy stances, I wanna change that. On a similar note, articulation is one of those obstacles I have yet to (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Moonbase, mech, pod, flyer and a Spiffcraft

Sorry about the big pics. I have croped them and made them smaller. I think all of them are resized. If anything is still to big just lemme know. plmkwyt jd #30 (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw Files

Wow. Another great mech, as always! The widening contours of the legs really adds to the name of the mecha...that and shoulders combine to form a really hefty and stable looking mecha. Great accessories too! I'll have to go with your choice of the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) were twisted out a bit, such that the feet aren't pointing in the same direction. Your other more recent mecha also have this feature, but for some reason, it's very noticable on this mecha. It gives it a more natural pose. Seems like brute is (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Onimusha: Demon Warrior Mecha

(...) Dang! This is sweet! probably my favorite mecha of yours since Gouka... Like the big gun - a change of pace for you, no? I'm sure that as cool as it looks in the pic, it's that much better IRL! Man, you, me, Sun, Dave and Bryce have to get (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Mecha and LDraw Files

First off, I built a new mecha. Basically, I just wanted to add as much weaponry on it as I could. The bazooka is my personal favourite. ;-) It also comes with a zero-g pack, radome, and smoke discharger system. Naturally, I was inspired heavily by (...)   Onimusha: Demon Warrior Mecha

Here's my latest mecha for your approval. I haven't been building much since "real life" called so it's nice to be back in building mode. I was originally intending do an all brick mecha but got lazy and just built the head. Oh well, maybe in the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

In lugnet.space, Jeff DeJong writes: <snip> some cool stuff. Nice work. I like the base module. I need to stop looking at them though as i'm getting creators block seeing all the good stuff getting created. (...) You may want to consider resizing (...)   Moonbase, mech, pod, flyer and a Spiffcraft

This is my moon base. It is prety much a one room building with a counter and a clerk droid. I will probably remake it to be bigger and have something in it. (URL) is a misc folder with my Pod inspired by all of the pods being made latly. And a mech (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Poll example on member page: DinoTron mecha

OK, here's an example of a poll included right onto a LUGNET member page: (URL) do this, I simply added [Poll 14] at the bottom of that page. And then the system displays the poll automatically when it renders the FTX[1] into HTML. Any poll can be (...) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.duplo) !

  Re: New Mech!

(...) Hey, thanks. I just got mentioned on Lego Mechcommander, so my bandwidth has been maxed out lately. All those visitors! In case you wanted to know, it was built out of a few bulk pieces and 2 Red Planet Protectors I got on sale :D It is only (...) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) You have links to pictures? You should see some of the goodies that had at the Hobby Expo and Wonderfestival in Japan. Here's a link to some Macross coverage . . . (URL) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Would you buy it?????

(...) I should've know better than to say "loose joint" in front of professor snead! You'd be disappointed to hear this Chris but I haven't even had a chance to use these in any build yet, even though I swore I would. Lack of time more than (...)   Re: Would you buy it?????

(...) Aaah, but what about the Zoids Blox series?? I just picked up two sets while at the San Diego Comic Con and interestingly enough the holes in the blocks/blox fits and axle or pin perfectly. Hmmmm.... (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Would you buy it?????

(...) You realize, of course, there is a very nice way to stiffen those joints significantly in both axes. I'll post it in a couple of weeks, but the technique is very similar to the plate hinge stiffening technique. Personally, on my wish list is a (...)   Re: Would you buy it?????

(...) Hmm...I've seen some of the model kits by Bandai, and those are pretty cool, but I haven't been holding my breath for the gundam lego, because I know that's never going to happen. It would be cool, but until then, I guess we'll have to do (...) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Would you buy it?????

(...) The listed copyright owners of the core Gundam series are Sotsu Agency and Sunrise. Bandai is the only company that I can think of that is currently producing Gundam related merchandise. There is a reason for this though, Sunrise is a (...) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Would you buy it?????

(...) Oh, definitely. It would be great to see some lego models, particularly of the Gundam Wing or Transformers line. I think that would be definitely innovative, and contribute to some great sales. Unfortunately, I think the Gundam License is (...) (22 years ago, 11-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.lego.direct)
