Now, i know what you are thinking, "There are a ton of mecha video games out there that are alot better then this, whatr an idiot , he has probly never played anything else, like battle (...)   Re: Ghost MOC Update

(...) Very nice! I have been trying to comment on your mecha for a while now but my computer freezes with fear every time I try to post. You have a formidable "Hulk" there! I like the overall tough shape that it has to it. Very nice level of detail (...) (22 years ago, 10-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Deathscythe Hell Buster Shield

(...) Thanks for the compliment! I thought of using a left-right horizontal click hinges, but those are too big. The start system horizontal hinges are too big also, and I have only 3 of the 1/3 tall hinges and 2 of them are already in use :( So, (...) (22 years ago, 10-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Deathscythe Hell Buster Shield

(...) Thanks! The 3rd version of the Deathscythe Hell is not ready yet, but I hope to have it finished soon. Untill then, I hope to see something from you as well (seems that Sun has a little blue deamon pumped up and ready for action!) Have fun! (...) (22 years ago, 10-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Ghost MOC Update

sadly, no I can't when I post from my e-mail at home and I'm not posting from lugnet web interface, the e-mail service adds that automatically to every mesage that I send. What I will do though, Is try to limit my posting to that on the web as much (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: slide-click joints

(...) I think this is a great suggestion for what Luke is trying to accomplish. Just place the tubing in the center of two long friction axels. If flex tubing gives you too much flex, you could alternatively use the 4L lightsaber blades in it's (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: slide-click joints

Interesting solution! I had tried the long pins and found that the end I wanted to stay stayed for the most part...but it wasn't reliable. Increasing the friction of one end is a novel idea indeed. I may just use it in the end. The option of making (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: slide-click joints

Interesting! Up until now, I had categorically dismissed all non-discrete forms of linear motion. Cam mechs are a wonderful idea! I gave them a try though, and sadly, didn't work out as I had hoped. As always, space-constraint was the issue. Don't (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: slide-click joints

Luke, I'm stummped too! Although I'm just not sure at what your trying to accomplish. Maybe these two pix can help. I use a Cam Mechanism to achive linear motion. The end out put is a controlled recipricating motion. see the pully wheel behind GG's (...) (22 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
