  Re: Wing Thing

(...) you to lay them on top of a larger plate, which you could never do with the old classic space wings, so that allows for more textured looks. Bruce (22 years ago, 28-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Wing Thing

This may be widely known but it sort of startled me. A star wars wing has a subtle improvement over a classic space wing... (URL) just assumed it was eternally impossible to stack these wing plates together and make a wing brick... Good technique (...) (22 years ago, 28-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw File

(...) Yeah, a lot of people seem to be busy this time of year, here on LUGNET. (...) Thanks Bryce! The hands are quite simple to construct. I hope Dave is able to expain ya soon. ;-) (...) LOL! Yeah, you're right about the simple part (elegant, (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw File

(...) Thanks Bobby! Glad ya like it. (...) Yeah, I'm sure it'll happen, but not just yet. (...) Same here; I hope to see what you've got up your sleeve as well. (...) Mladen Pejic, over and out! (URL) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 5/25/02

(...) Looks like something from Grandizer - like a transforming saucer animal. Very clever packaging! The Admiral(ahem, Grand Admiral)isn't going to be happy when he finds out how much it costs to insure a battle craft. The rates are astronomical. (...)   Re: Bot-Sighting

(...) Sometimes the windshield wipers just don't cut it when the air is thick with bots in the springtime. There's something called a "Botflector" you can attach to the hood of your car that alters the airflow so they don't stick to the windshield. (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw File

(...) Another great mecha! I really like the feet. They have sort of an old school / new school mix type look to them. Also I dig those hands. We were trying to make some at the last Lugola meeting and nobody could figure them out. I think Dave may (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Massive FoundryDX Update

(...) I have to applaude you! An excellent website with excellent mechas, it hardly gets any better than this! I can still remmember your first three mechs when you first posted them on Brickshelf. Since then you have improved so much! Keep it up! (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw File

(...) A trully enjoyable mecha! The picture quality is superb as usuall. The Joker has a very "warm" look to it, like a good old killing machine. I love all the extra weapons that can be mounted on the suit. Overall, another great mecha! On a side (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 5/25/02

"Mark Sandlin" <sandlin@nwlink.com> wrote in message news:sandlin- (...) look (...) I think it looks far more like a (type II) phaser from Star Trek TNG. Or maybe a sort of dustbuster. :-) -Jon -- | The Shipyard - (URL) My Lego Creations - (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 5/25/02

(...) There's no way I know of to get a decent transformation and keep the Spiffcraft at its former size. By using the Bohrok joints, I was able to make it fairly poseable. (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Shocktrooper - version 3.0

(...) Thanks Eric. BTW, I just added your URL to my site today. Later, Todd (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 5/25/02

Incredible stuff as usual Mark...worth the wait! I especially like the Vulture - ships that have a 'broken main beam' are always so interesting, and this one is definately so. It reminds me of a hunched behemoth, ready to feast on the carcases of (...) (22 years ago, 27-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Massive FoundryDX Update

(...) Mine too. I think all you clone haters should read my WTB market post and cough up the goods you dislike SO much. For recent sets I think I can be persuaded to pay for shipping from those giving their hated MB stuff away! =) And BTW, if the (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw File

(...) Yep. Thanks! (...) Yeah, I see what you're saying. It's hard to do too, and eats up tiles and other smooth pieces like crazy. Good luck with your own studless creation. (...) Thanks! I'm glad you guys went so far as to build it. It's not the (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Massive FoundryDX Update

(...) You're right--the 3-click system is nothing at all compared to LEGO's 4-click system. It's like two different universes! (...) The only way that could be true is if the model was put together incorrectly, it was set on an uneven surface, or if (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 5/25/02

(...) Those are really cool! I like the spiffcraft-mecha alot, and the vulture too. Though is it possimble too shrink the spiffcraft? It looks BIG. Can't wait for more! John Kruer p.s. a really, really bad teaser of a moc-in-production: (URL) not (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Massive FoundryDX Update

(...) Ughh...those joints suck! I remember buying one of those megablocks mecha; first of all, the darn thing wouldn't stay together; an arm kept falling off, or some leg part, etc. The joints had three positions between zero and 90 degrees; they (...)   Re: Bot-Sighting

(...) Is that the turnpike? I've seen bots there too! You have to wonder if you play with lego too much when you see them on the freeway. I'll admit i build in my head all the time in traffic. Maybe it's time to stash some bricks in the car. . . . (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha and LDraw File

(...) right? Anyways, it's a nice vent design, I love it. I like the aesthetics of the "no studs" approach but you almost wouldn't know it was Lego. I guess it's a double sided sword. I'm working on a no studs model myself thanks to my haul of tiles (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
