Yes, a good week for mecha

Finally accumulated the parts I needed to finish this yesterday. The MS06 "Ground Pounder": (URL) joints have worm screws, 15 in all. All armor plate can be removed like a master grade kit, a really cool way to build. "K" (23 years ago, 23-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  A good Week for Mecha

What a Good week it was for Mecha! Mech! Mech! Mech! BTW - I plan to resort my entire Lego collection, I'm heading out today to pick up more sorting bins. The LB's have their work cut out. I hope to gear up for a new creation in the near future. (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Heh. Ah dang, okay, I'll work on that. ;-) (...) Thanks. (...) Yeah, maybe having them the other way around would look good on this mecha too. (...) Again, yeah, I could have made it larger.   Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

Gad Mladen, well done. (what else can be said really, you rock on this one.) But one criticism, don't you think you got too many studs showing??? lol Chain guns at the hips: way cool, remind me of something off an Apache. Missle racks: big and beefy (...)   Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

(...) ALPHONSE!!! That's Noa piloting him. WOW!!! This is the most exciting mech I have seen in a while. Mostly because Patlabor is my favorite anime. And this labor is so well constructed. Jude This made my day. 8^) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

Boy am I a slowpoke... [nah, just extremely busy] Where to begin... WOW! Patlabor is my favourite anime of all time, and Gla Gla certainly did justice to the beautiful Ingram design found in the shows and the two movies. Dang... He even managed to (...)   Re: New Female Mecha

Probably I won't have any details or instructions, you'll just have to study the photos. I didn't use any ball joints, or thowbot/bionicle parts. All multi axis joints are using the part I call the hinged technic peg. You can see that part pretty (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Female Mecha

I set the proportions for an anime/comic book figure, not necessarily reality, though I think she has a decent hourglass figure as is. I think there are a couple of proportion problems, in that the feet are a bit too large as compared to the head, (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Female Mecha

  Re: New Female Mecha

Amazing posability. One minor thing that bugged me about it though, were the proportions. For a lego fembot, the hips might need to be a little wider relative to the shoulders. Image 8 points this out pretty clearly to me. She's pretty triangular, (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Female Mecha

(...) Dave, wow! This is...<searching for words>...she's perty. :-) The amount of articulation you achieved here is mind boggling. AND, you have done something that is one of the pinnacles of mecha design: a very, *very* great looking female design. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
