  Re: The Qwilljox

(...) eee! (...) hanh? anyway... eeee! (...) Yahs, I see the similarities--in the feet, and wrists, although, the head is more like a scaled-back GG... I actually thought Quilljox and the LBB were much more similar in scale, until I saw the LBB (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: DR-8CO the flying mech

(...) Cool! Man, it's going to be a weird year for mecha. I'm so glad to see the 'genre' opening up. I like models based on cartoons/toys/garage kits as much as the next guy, I really do! But I also like animal representations/dist...ions/human (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

(...) And it doesn't go unappreciated. Sometimes, the first decision isn't the best one, and you tell yourself that someone's going to notice if I post it, so you strive to improve. Patience, the Leogmaster preaches, go slowly... (...) Absolutely! (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Bow down before the one you serve...

(...) You know what they say-- beauty is in the eye... well, why don't we end there? (...) I still haven't figured out how you put Q's tail together. I suppose it shows! Very much appreciated. (...) yahoo! (...) Ah, that was me. Thanks, man! this (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  The Qwilljox

I present the Qwilljox: (URL) of many piloted Mecha the Qwilljox refers to the class of pilots in the Light Mecha system. (Pilot pix soon to follow - heh heh) I built this one to expand on some technique used to build the LBB. I Hope to add more (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: DR-8CO the flying mech

Hey neato! It's good to see all those cool pcs. go to good use! And it looks like a mini wyvern form D&D I think. Excellent use of parts on the head. Wow cool. Legomaster (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  DR-8CO the flying mech

At the request of our multibles of insane mech pilots we have released the DR-8CO, "Midnite Madness," for field testing. Evidentally, jump jets are not enough. (URL) On an unrelated note, nominal dosages of prozac are now free to the shock troop (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Bow down before the one you serve...

(...) Excellent work Stuart! Man what a beauty! I really like the "cloven hoof" stance/ look of this mecha. The legs and hooves give it such a meanacing feel. The posability of the arms is great as well. Just like everyone else I think the witches (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hi!

(...) It's good to see you posting on Lugnet, Jeff. I like that you aren't satisfied to slap a couple extra parts on a Bionicle and call it an MOC. Your sense of design is calculated and well executed. Most of all that Alien just ROCKS! Really jaw (...) (23 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another new mech builder

(...) Welcome to the mecha group. (...) "must build a mech"...aka turning to the dark side... :-) (...) Again welcome to the wonderful world of mecha building :-D (...) Very very impressive first mecha. It's fairly large too. I'm not super fond of (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

Good morning, thank you, looking at the structure and paying homage to how it was built is important, there are so many aspects that are worthy of notice and praise. After your two months of work, a "oh cool" just does'nt cut it. What we do is so (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

(...) I knew that any backstory I came up with would pale in comparison to something you might imagine. Spreading rabies through mthyo-mecha-injection... ewww. The idea of a mecha mythology is fascinating, though-- I'd like to see a whole pantheon (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

(...) Thanks very much! Some of the 'decoration' may be unique, but the core of it is closely based on the works of others already mentioned in this thread. Nonetheless, thanks very much. (...) Not insofar as it 'clicks' like a regular lego piece. (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

Eric, (...) <snipped the seizure> (...) Eric, the thing that always impresses me about your posts is that it seems you take the time to look at every single picture someone posts, and have a comment based on almost each aspect. You've really got the (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

(...) Bow down! BOW DOWN BEFORE THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ, I mean, MORPHEUS! Aw, you're nice! Thanks. stuart (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: dragon-like mecha

(...) So glad you liked it Franklin-- always nice to see when builders cross over boundaries (are there such things in lego?)-- your comments are gratefully appreciated. (...) No, thank _you_! (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

(...) That's what you _say_, Faust.... (...) Yay! Thanks-- yes, everyone seems to like the head. Perhaps I'll CAD it, if someone wants... (...) Much appreciated. Thanks heaps! stuart (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Morpheus--- Revealed!

(...) It injects a bio-engineered solution (visible in the red tubes) via the hypodermic needle fingers. It spreads the disease that makes canines go berserk and attack humans. It stalks the forests in search of wolves to infect with its corruption. (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hi!

(...) Hey Chris, (...) That's what I originally thought about the Technic's line! They looked like erector sets! Yuck! But the cool thing about Bionicle parts is that there are some pieces that can really disguise the "spindly" look. I dealing with (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hi!

(...) Yeah, I'm not really into the whole collecting aspect of Bionicle. I just saw that they were robots (cool!) and that they had tons of ball and socket joints (posability!). I was really getting tired of buying action figs and being unsatisfied (...) (23 years ago, 3-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
