I actually caught part of that lame thread. Seems to me that some of the other Lugneters are confussed either by the difference between Bionicle & Avatars or Bionicle and Mecha. Maybe they are simply confussed in general??? I don't really know nor (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Legos mean ______ to some people and when confronted with a new idea it gets rejected by the collective that belives the absolute. Sound stupid? (...) (...) Actually I did a bit on this very topic. Take a look: (URL) both terms are correct. Mecha refers more to the Japanese style, and mech is everything else. (Mechs have grease and oil stains. That's about the only difference really...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
