  Re: New Mega Bloks Mechas

(...) Very well put. And all too true. The ultimate builder's dream is that eventually some one company comes along that manufactures all of the good stuff from TLC, Ritvik, and the already defunct Tyco. Patents do expire after all... -- Hop-Frog (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Mega Bloks Mechas

I was in Toys R Us today hoping to come across some of the new 2002 sets or some small bionicle sets. Needless to say they're not there. Oh well. Anyways . . . As I was walking around I did notice some new sets from Mega Bloks and I have to say I (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: G-meist goes public! well sort of,

(...) thanks, but I really don't know if it's talent per se, :-) I just practiced lot's, and have gotten a bit better, but not NEARLY as good as all of the rest of the guys in .mecha. :-) Yes, your mecha received tonnes of attention! Wow! that Zaku is amazing! I love that! That's has the articulation and detail of a PGG, but in a package a few inches high! now that is the perfect hidden skeleton mecha, I can't get over how cool that thing is! (...) Sun, I agree with you comments. I too thought that it was a picture of a toy. Damn I am stunned! I feel like I've been mecha sucker punched! Absolutely beautiful design! Later, Bryce (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) (URL) saw these yesterday morning, and I am still stuned by the RX-78GP03 DENDROBIUM . For all practical reasons, that thing is perfect! While the MSZ-006C1 Z_PLUS doesn't look like much, it has a very nicely executated transformation and I (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mechas

The microfig dendrobium is fantastic, a beautiful origami. The old school combiner robot is super cool. I'd guess he had a high grade model as a reference to get the structural details, otherwise it becomes a very difficult design problem because of (...)
